Job Holders Beware You Could Be Next

It never ceases to amaze me how volatile the job market really is and more so how callus companies can be to their employees.

Here’s a great example of why you want to Be an Entrepreneur…

Radio Shack a major player in the electronics industry laid off 400 people. Now that doesn’t sound like a whole lot of people in comparison to some of the other layoffs I pointed out earlier.

But the significance of this layoff is something far different and something that is extremely alarming. Pay close attention because this could be the start of a new trend.

I sure hope it doesn’t become a trend because what Radio Shack did is one of the worst things you can do in my opinion if you have to downsize your staff.

Are you ready?

Hang on to your hats. This is horrendous leadership…

Radio Shack not only laid off the 400 people but they did it via email.

Yes you saw it correctly. There is a New York Times Article that shows you what I am talking about.

Can you imagine what it must be like for those people who served the company loyally for years to find out they are no longer wanted via email?

Management didn’t even have the decency to treat them like human beings and give them a courtesy of a meeting to let them go.

I don’t know about you but I sure wouldn’t like to be treated that way!

Would you?

I didn’t think so.

This by far is the worst display of leadership I have seen and I have seen plenty of bad leadership over the years in corporate America.

How would you feel if this was you? Would you feel betrayed? Would you be angry?

Don’t let this happen to you. Because as long as you are an employee working for someone else this could happen to you.
