Countrywide Lays Off 2500 Don’t Let This Happen To You
Here we go again more layoffs in the news.
Countrywide just announced they are laying off 2500 more people. You may be saying so what. I don’t work for Countrywide.
So what does this mean to you?
You may be thinking… nothing!
You may be right for now. Eventually you may get caught by surprise like the employees at Countrywide did.
It is very important for you to realize that if you are currently in a job you could be next. I don’t want to see this happen to you.
You think it’s not possible?
Let me tell you what happened to me…
I worked for fortune 500 companies for over 15 years and one day I was told along with 50,000 other employees that my services would no longer be required.
Now if that wasn’t bad enough, I had competition with 50,000 other people from the same company if I was looking for a job. Compounding things further the economy was bad and many other companies in the same field were also laying off making my prospects of finding another job with the same kind of pay fairly slim.
When you have specialized in a field there are only so many jobs available. And usually when one company in the same sector of business is having difficulty others in the same sector are not far behind.
Check it out for yourself. Ask a professional stock trader about this trend.
As a jobholder you don’t have much of a choice. When the financial numbers for the company look bad the first place they start looking at cutting is employees.
Why’s that?
This is the easiest place to reduce overhead. This is also crazy letting your talent go. But the key to remember is this it’s what most companies do. Each employee is considered overhead and if you have a high paying job they can reduce overhead even faster.
So how do you protect yourself from a layoff?
It’s easy… Become an Entrepreneur while you are still employed.
When you have a job and Start a Part Time Business, you can easily make the transition to becoming a successful Entrepreneur. You will still have revenue coming in to get your business off the ground. You can Get the Entrepreneur Education you require and have some seed money to launch your business.
By starting a business part time, it takes away the stress of not having a paycheck.
I wish I had that luxury. I was thrown into the fire. I had to start my own business or face the possibility of starving. This is not a good position to be in. Getting another job for me at the time was not an option unless I wanted to work at McDonalds. They seemed to be the only place hiring at the time.
Don’t let that happen to you when you can easily prevent it.
Make sure you educate yourself before starting a business. To succeed you must know your purpose in life. When you know what you are here to do, it is much easier for you to succeed.
You must also have the right mindset… because if you are thinking like an employee, I guarantee you will have a tough time as an Entrepreneur. I’m glad I worked on my mindset before I got laid off. My coworkers weren’t so lucky. They were ushered out in tears. They literally thought their life had ended.
Do you know anyone like this? My guess is you do. Maybe it was you!
It’s so important to be prepared and move forward. As an Entrepreneur you are in control of your destiny. No one can ever fire you again.
Take control of your life today and Make the Decision to succeed and never let someone else tell you, as the Donald would say: You’re Fired!
Take Action today and educate yourself before you get caught like the poor people at Countrywide did.
To Your Success,
Andy Fuehl
