Dow Goes Over 11,000 - Are You Any Richer Today? What Does This Mean to You as an Entrepreneur…

Yesterday I have multiple articles about the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) going above 11,000 again. It has been over four years since it has been at this level. And today there is no mention anywhere. So was it a big deal or not?

The real question is what does this mean to you? Are you richer because of it? Did your paycheck increase because of this event? Are you able to retire because of it?

Most likely you are no better or worse off than before. Unless your business is investing in the stocks that comprise the DJIA then it means nothing to you. So why is the world so focused on this number? The DJIA shows the economy is picking up and companies are making more money. That’s a good thing because that means there is more money out there for you to receive as an emerging entrepreneur.

When you the entrepreneur provide your valuable products and services people will be more apt to purchase when they believe the economy is doing better. That’s not to say that you can slack off and provide a substandard products or services. Always remember to focus on what is important. Be true to your purpose in life (which you can determine by doing the exercise in my book Wealth Without a Job) and provide the highest quality of service or best product you can.

Let me share a little secret with you. No matter what the economy is doing so long as you are providing a high quality service or top notch product you can make money. It’s all about mindset. Read my book Profiting in Turbulent Times for more insight. Whether the economy is going up or down or whether the DJIA is up or down people are making money and spending money. They key is how do you capitalize on it. When you live your life on purpose, express that purpose through the business of your choice, have the right mindset and provide valuable products or services you can’t loose.

So get yourself out there and give the people what they want, your products and services.
