Entrepreneurs Quit Being Self Serving. Instead Be Serving

One of the biggest Entrepreneur Business Building Challenges is, everyone wants more business. But who doesn’t?
The real challenge is not about getting more business it’s how you go about getting more business. Successful Entrepreneurs know something that most Entrepreneurs wish they knew and I even started talking about it in the last Wealth Builders Blog Article.

Did you even catch it?

My guess is you may not have. How do I know this? It’s because this is by far one of the simplest things to build your business but most Entrepreneurs overlook it.

So why do most Entrepreneurs overlook this simple Business Building Strategy?

It’s called FEAR!

There I said it. FEAR. There are many different types of fear that Entrepreneurs face. One of the biggest fears that Entrepreneurs have is the one of being sold.

Being sold! What’s that all about you may be wondering…

Let me explain. If you as an Entrepreneur start talking with someone else who is also an Entrepreneur they may attempt to start selling you on what they have. Most people want to avoid this like the plague.

Don’t believe me?

Think about this and let’s see if you have this fear. The last time you went to a retail store and the sales person came up to you and asked you if you would like some help, what did you say to that salesperson?

I’m going to go on a limb here and guess you may have said: Just looking.

Was I correct?

Most likely I was. Why is that? Because we learned that this is the fastest way to get rid of a sales person - And what did the sales person do when you said that?

They just walked away, didn’t they?

That’s what happens. But let me explain something to you, which all Highly Successful Entrepreneurs understand. This is actually the worst thing you can do. You’re actually afraid of being sold by interacting with the sales person.

Well guess what? That’s not all you’re doing.

You’re also afraid to talk to people you don’t know and because you’re not allowing others to interact with you, you’re setting up a dynamic at the unconscious level that says others shouldn’t interact with you when you’re attempting to sell them your products and services.

The bottom line is this. If you don’t allow others to sell to you, others aren’t going to allow you to sell to them.

Remember: What you focus on expands. And if you’re focused on not being sold then you’re going to get more of not being sold especially with your prospects.

I know this is a tough one to swallow but I’m just answering your Biggest Entrepreneur Business Challenges and this is a big one!

If you don’t allow yourself to get over being sold, I guarantee you that you’re going to get really skinny and if you have kids they will be skinny too. I’ll let you think about that one.

When you allow yourself to be sold on others products and services, others will reciprocate in like with your products and services. But when you hold back you’re cutting off the flow. You’re now living in resistance.

And in resistance, no money flows.

Got it?

The good news is this is easy to fix. When someone makes you an offer instead of blowing off the salesperson, talk with them and interact with them. You went to the store or website for something otherwise you wouldn’t be there. So why not allow yourself some time with that person and work with them. Ask them to help you. Work with them.

Now maybe you’re just looking and that’s ok. But what are you looking for?

Did you ever stop to ask the salesperson?

This situation goes much deeper than what I’m discussing here and I’ll cover that in more detail next time. The key to remember now is that you must get back into flow and allow yourself to be sold.

I remember when my mentor Bob Proctor taught me this. At first I thought he was crazy. But he was right on the money… and it did put more money in my pocket. Wouldn’t you like more money in your pocket too?
